First and Second Quarter 2008 Public Course Schedule Quality Center 9.2 Suite (TCT) TThe process-based functionality of Quality Center 9.2 is extended in this hands-on course. Students will learn how to manage quality information throughout the development cycle, construct and organize requirements, create and execute test sets, monitor defects, and use graphs and reports to track the success of a project. It is an important course for people involved in creating projects, modifying existing fields, creating user-defined fields, creating users, setting user permissions, and defining basic workflow. The course explains how to extract information from your Quality Center projects to create and view charts and graphs in the Dashboard. The charts and graphs enable you to make cross-project comparisons. QuickTest Professional 9.2 Suite (TCT) QuickTest Professional 9.2 as an automated functional testing tool for different environments. This suite of courses teaches you to use QuickTest Professional’s graphical point and click interface to record and play back tests, add synchronization points and verification steps, and create multiple action tests. Using Expert View in QuickTest Professional, you will learn to create steps that work with dynamic objects and data, use VBScript conditional and looping statements to control the flow of your tests and components, and use Data Table methods and database connection objects to retrieve external data. All topics are supported by hands-on exercises based on real-life examples. Advanced QuickTest Professional 9.2 (TCT) Take your functional test automation skills to the next level by learning to use the Expert View in QuickTest Professional. Through discussions and hands-on exercises, you will learn to create steps that work with dynamic objects and data, use VBScript conditional and looping statements to control the flow of your tests and components, and use Data Table methods and database connection objects to retrieve external data. WinRunner9.2 Suite (TCT) WinRunner records user actions and application responses to create scripts which can be used as automated tests. This course teaches the fundamentals of creating and enhancing automated test scripts. After completing this course, students will be able to use WinRunner to automate functional and regression tests. Advanced WinRunner 9.2 (TCT) Advanced WinRunner teaches students to use programming and troubleshooting techniques to enhance their automated test scripts to achieve greater test coverage for their applications. LoadRunner 9.0 for Web Suite (TCT) This suite of courses focuses on using LoadRunner 9.0 to load test Web applications. You will create test scenarios and run them using the LoadRunner Controller. You will also use the LoadRunner Analysis component to interpret load test results. The information gathered during planning is used to create and enhance scripts specific to Web applications using the Virtual User Generator (VuGen) component of LoadRunner. All topics are supported by hands-on exercises designed to provide you with the knowledge to load applications into your Web environment. The last day involves comprehension testing in which you will be required to create, enhance, and debug scripts according to the given specifications. Once the script is ready, you will need to incorporate the script as part of a scenario to run load tests to according to the given performance objectives. Fundamentals of LoadRunner 9.0 (TCT) LoadRunner is an automated load testing tool that allows you to test your application before, during and after deployment. This course is designed to give you a firm foundation in basic load testing tasks. The following components of LoadRunner – LR Controller and LR Analysis are used to plan for an effective load test. You will create and run load test scenarios using the LR Controller. The LR Analysis component is used to analyze load test results. You will learn to interpret LoadRunner analysis graphs and achieve your load testing goals. All topics are support by hands-on labs designed to provide you with the knowledge necessary to load test your system using LoadRunner. |
